From carbon copy to emailed copy
When performing services and maintenance, an HVAC client was documenting the work using the traditional method of paper carbon copies. One copy to keep, one copy for the client. This method was effective, but the paper copies were prone to being lost or damaged and the field technicians often did not fill them out correctly or completely. In addition, jobs were managed using excel, text messages, and phone calls. It was hard to keep track of the work done and communication between admin, techs, and customers was messy and disjointed.
In order to streamline operations, we helped the client select and implement field service software. This software allowed our client to centralize operations and develop a single source of truth for scheduling, tracking, and communicating about jobs as well as performing quoting and invoicing. Required checklists built into the app meant that technicians filled out information on an iPad, correctly every time. Copies of job performed were no longer lost and all the key stakeholders could see all of the communication about a job in one place. Implementing this software allowed the company to grow without additional administrative overhead.
